How It Works
Publishing with Divine Purpose Publishing House is a collaborative process built on relationship, excellence, and transparency. We partner with authors to ensure every book we release is handled with care—from the first conversation to long after launch.
Step 1: Submission & Manuscript Assessment
Every journey begins with connection. Submit your manuscript for a professional review and manuscript assessment. This step allows our editorial team to carefully evaluate your project, confirm readiness for publishing, and determine whether it’s a fit for our house.
A non-refundable $30 manuscript assessment fee is required with your submission (covers review time and processing).
Once reviewed, we’ll provide feedback on next steps—and if your story feels like a match, we’ll invite you to a Connection Call to discuss your vision in more detail.
Step 2: Acceptance & Agreement
Once accepted, you’ll receive a clear publishing agreement outlining our shared commitments. We’ll walk you through every detail—from your one-time investment to timelines and deliverables—so you always know what to expect.
Step 3: Editorial & Design
Our professional editors and designers partner with you to refine and elevate your book while honoring your authentic voice.
This stage includes:
- Line editing and proofreading
- Custom cover design
- Interior layout and typesetting
You’ll have full approval at every stage.
Step 4: Production & Proofing
After editing and design are complete, your book moves into production. We handle ISBN and LCCN registration, finalize your print and eBook files, and review proofs for quality assurance before release.
Step 5: Global Distribution
Your book will be distributed worldwide through Ingram’s network—reaching over 45,000 retailers, bookstores, and libraries.
You’ll receive:
- Sales reports
- Direct payment of 70% of net royalties
- Continued access to your publishing dashboard
Step 6: Launch & Ongoing Support
We celebrate every author launch with visibility support through DPPH’s platforms, pre-order setup, and social media features.
And our relationship doesn’t end there—our team remains available for continued visibility opportunities, author features, and community connection.
Publishing Timeline
Our full publishing process typically spans 9–12 months from contract to release.
This includes editorial development, production, and a 3–4 month preorder period.
A personalized timeline will be provided once your submission is approved and your project officially begins.
