Through our partnership with Vital Voice of Love, a nonprofit organization based in Fort Worth, Texas, founded by LaShawn Dobbs, we extend the impact of our work far beyond publishing. Vital Voice of Love stems from LaShawn’s personal journey of healing from the effects of trauma and abuse. Having experienced various types of trauma herself, LaShawn has found her passion and purpose in empowering others to heal.
What was once her pain has been transformed into a mission—a ministry dedicated to walking alongside survivors of abuse as they reclaim their voices, rediscover their worth, and find hope. This vision is the heart behind Vital Voice of Love: taking personal healing and using it as a foundation to help others on their journey.
A Heart for Survivors
Vital Voice of Love exists to empower survivors to reclaim their voices and embrace their inherent worth. Through scholarships funded by DPPH, survivors can bring their stories to life—stories that not only transform their lives but inspire and uplift others.
Our work doesn’t stop there. Vital Voice of Love provides resources, community, and, in the future, transitional housing for survivors and those aging out of the foster system. It’s more than an organization; it’s a safe space where healing begins, and hope is restored.
